Water Phase and Winter: In Chinese Medicine, the wintertime is associated with the Water phase and the Kidney/Bladder meridians. This includes the kidneys, bones, bone marrow, spinal cord, reproductive organs, bladder, low back, hips, knees, teeth, ears, and hair. The emotions related to water are fear, shock, terror, panic and surprise. Water energy is required for meditation, reflection, stillness and imagination. The Classical texts tell us to rest as much as possible, lay down often, eat warm, slow-cooked foods, and go to bed early and wake up late. In what ways has your body revealed where extra attention is required, and what can you do to address it? What Can we do within your next acupuncture session? Let me know ..
